Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of SovaHost services. Last updated 2025.

Terms of Service / Account Eligibility

By signing up for a SovaHost account, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to open an account. Accounts must be registered with accurate contact information; we may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.

Transfers / SovaHost Content / User Content

SovaHost provides free website migration as a courtesy where technically possible. We are not liable for data loss during transfers initiated by the user. Content hosted on SovaHost servers remains the property of the user; however, you grant SovaHost a limited license to host, transmit and back up that content as needed to deliver the service.

Third Party Products and Services

Some SovaHost plans include third-party software (Blesta, DirectAdmin, cPanel, Softaculous, SEOPress, WP Rocket, WPML and others). These are governed by their respective licensing terms. SovaHost is not responsible for the availability or quality of third-party products that we do not control.

Account Security and Systems

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree not to use your hosting account to send spam, distribute malware, infringe copyrights, host illegal content, mine cryptocurrency in a way that abuses shared resources, or otherwise violate applicable law. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund.

Billing and Payment Information

All prices are quoted in EUR unless otherwise stated. Service is billed in advance on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis depending on the plan you select. Failure to pay invoices on time may result in suspension after the grace period and termination after the data retention window expires.

Cancellations and Refunds

SovaHost offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on shared hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS and reseller plans. Dedicated servers, game servers, domain registrations, SSL certificates and software licenses are non-refundable. To request a refund, open a ticket from your client area before the 30-day window closes.

CPU, Bandwidth and Disk Usage

Shared and WordPress hosting plans are designed for normal website workloads. Sustained CPU usage that affects other customers on the same node may be throttled, and we may ask you to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated plan. Unmetered bandwidth means no bandwidth caps under fair use — abusive traffic patterns may be rate-limited.

Uptime Guarantee

We guarantee 99.95% network uptime for VPS and dedicated server plans. If we fail to meet this guarantee in any given month, you may request a credit equal to the prorated downtime, capped at one month of service. Scheduled maintenance windows and force majeure events are excluded.

Limitation of Liability / Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SovaHost’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. SovaHost is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. You agree to indemnify SovaHost against claims arising from your content or your use of the service.

Arbitration / Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SovaHost is incorporated. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration, except where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.

VPS Terms of Service

VPS customers receive root access and assume responsibility for the security and software updates of their VPS. Abuse originating from a VPS (spam, attacks, illegal content) may result in immediate suspension. We provide network-level DDoS protection but do not guarantee mitigation of all attack types.

Domain Registration Agreement

Domain names registered through SovaHost are governed by ICANN policies and the relevant TLD registry’s terms. SovaHost is not responsible for domain disputes; users must comply with the UDRP and similar dispute-resolution procedures.
